By changing the incentive structures worldwide ...
There is little cost for acting bad and little upside in doing good. With such lack of accountability and lots of money at stake, short term gains and fears trump long term vision and belief. And everybody looses in the end.
We want to fix this by changing the incentive structures of the innovation system worldwide. |
... and focusing our efforts where they truly matter
Our purpose is to help great founders. To enable as many as possible to realise their visions. To accelerate and increase their positive impact for the benefit of everyone.
This also means that we are not here to pamper all founders of the world. Many are not exceptional and are not interested to invest the effort required to get there. Many have questionable morals and lack integrity. These are not people we believe are worth our effort, even if we believe that many of these, for good or bad, will also benefit from our labour.

Operation
This is how we are implementing the vision, worlwide.
We build trust
The problem starts with the people involved. Many say they are founder friendly but don't live up to that promise when the going gets tough. One of our initiatives is Trust Curator, an app that is designed to create transparency and accountability for all key players in tech ecosystems including founders, investors and board members.

We create solutions
Financing is always a dilemma for founders; bring in more capital now and accelerate short-term growth, or wait and keep long-term control. As a result, many ambitious founders give up control over time, effectively putting their vision at the mercy of others. To address this, we help to create and implement new long-term solutions.

We do research
There is a lot of anecdotal evidence on the dynamics, benefits and challenges of founder control. However, there is little comprehensive research on the subject. We believe that facts can be one of our most important assets in promoting the cause. To progress knowledge in this field we are starting the White Knight Thinktank.

We define guiding principles
|
We self-finance
|
Today everybody calls themselves 'founder friendly', but many don't live up to that promise when it really matters. Unfortunately the result is that the words lack true meaning. We want to change this and make 'founder friendly' into a badge of honour to wear with pride. We define 'founder friendly' as a set of principles to apply when working with founders. We aim to make this definition into a global standard and protect its true meaning.
|
We harbour no illusions that it will take many years to successfully forward our mission. Therefore, instead of being forever dependent on donations and the changing sentiments and goodwill of our donors , we shall aim to self-finance our operations by a) taking stakes in for-profit initiatives that we co-found, b) taking stakes in companies that use our solutions and c) reinvesting our assets to grow them over time as an evergreen investment fund.
